On July 15th we took Cara Mia to Dr. Deol;s clinic, Animal Hospital of Desert, for a complete blood test. It had been 11 months since she first began the Bi-Carbonate Treatment and while we were certain we managed to rid her of the Cancer, it was time to obtain verification.
Dr. Deol called today and informed us that all blood levels and panels for Cara Mia were “Normal.”
Cara Mia is officially Cancer Free!

It is now 11 months since Cara Mia was diagnosed with Cancer and she remains well, strong, happy and continues to thrive. Dr. Deol saw her and was very pleased with her condition; by all standard medical applications, Cara Mia should have been dead 6 months ago.
We did note some difficulty with constipation and thought that the tumor, still present however not dangerous, may be blocking her canals. If this was correct she would require surgery to remove the growth and that was not something we wanted for her. First the hassle, the healing, the pain and secondly, the use of highly toxic chemicals for the anesthesia, reducing swelling and possible infections. Any dog (or person) who had (has) cancer, should avoid these type of drugs at all costs because the levels of toxicity often times reanimates cancer cells.
After some deductions we determined that it is her thyroid; she was diagnosed 2 years ago as having a hypothyroid condition and that often leads to constipation (who knew?). We put her on T4 thyroid medication (it is a hormone) and added some mineral oil (2 tablespoons) to her food. We believe this will resolve the issue.
The key to Cara Mia’s continued good health and her own ability to fight off cancer, is the consistent diet without deviation. She eats only 100% organic raw foods and she continues to be given about 21,000mg – 28,000mg of Omega-3 and 14,000mg – 18,000mg of Omega-6 on a daily basis. These mega doses of EFA’s (Essential Fatty Acids) oxygenate cells to such levels that cancer cannot exist or regenerate in any form.
She continues to be an amazing animal and those that have lived with German Shepherds know that as they grow older, they become much smarter and their personalities are very defined as to likes and dislikes. She is now 12 years and 2 months old, we look forward to several good years of fun, good health and lots of love.

Dr. Deol of Animal Hospital of Desert, in Palm Desert, California, examined Cara Mia and found her to be in excellent shape. No outward signs of the disease; in fact, he said that had the cancer not been treated as we did, when we did, she would have been dead by this time. The cancer was quite aggressive; although we believed it to be moderately aggressive; the difference would have been waiting 2 or 3 weeks prior to commencing treatment.
Cara Mia’s weight is down to 92.5 pounds, down from her 99 pounds when she was being given the “full treatment” of very high Omega fats. She remains wonderful, happy, great appetite, and is looking forward to her 12th Birthday on the 17th of May.
We have recently met several people whose German Shepherd’s lived to 16 and 17 years old, in good health. That is our objective with Cara Mia. We hope her journey of regained health inspires others to seek natural remedies for cancer.

We have commenced a regimen of Glucosamine and Chondroitin. She is coming up to her 12th birthday and while there are still no signs of hip dysplasia, it’s time to be pro-active.
